Former Lands Cs Charity Ngilu has urged women in Kitui County to back her governorship bid in 2017 general election.

Ngilu on Sunday addressing residents of Mwingi North during a funds drive at Kimangao Parish Catholic Women Association said that she is the best suited to lead Kitui county.

“I am the best candidate for this job. I pray for your support so that we can secure this seat to liberate our people, especially the women, from problems," she said.

She added that women in the county have been neglected by the current governor Julius Malombe.

He said that Malombe is like Jubilee administration that has nothing to offer to women.

She vowed to empower women if elected as the next Kitui governor.
