Speaking to journalists in Kitui on Saturday, Ngilu welcomed the re-union, saying that it is in the right direction in uniting the country.

She said as much as she might have issues with the Jubilee administration, the unity and peace of the country is much important.

Ngilu said that time has come for the country to put politics aside and focus on development.

She said thay there was nothing wrong with Raila meeting Uhuru so long as he (Raila) does not forget about the electoral reforms agenda.

"It is okay for them to meet and address the issues facing the country," she said.

Ngilu asked the former Prime Minister  to work with Uhuru on electoral  reforms.

He (Raila) should use the opportunity to push for institutional reforms," she said.

The Kitui governor, however, said that it was wrong for the ODM Party leader to meet the President without informing his co-principals Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi.

President Kenyatta met with Raila on Friday where they agreed to burry their political differences and unite the country.

Their meeting continues to draw reactions with majority of politicians allied to Wiper party accusing Raila of betraying the coalition.
