CIO 100 Annual Awards has awarded Charity Kaluki Ngilu-led government as the best county in in terms of ICT innovation.
According to a local daily, the award recognized all organizations that have embraced the use of ICT in the delivery of services to the people. Each of the organizations that want to be shortlisted for the competition are required to submit their best IT Projects for evaluation.
Ngilu’s government had presented a project in the field of construction and equipping of 25 ICT in different parts of the county. The county was presented with an award as the best in ICT innovation as well as a certificate of recognition following the outstanding performance that had been showcases by the government.
The event, which was held on Friday at Enashipai Resort and Spa in Naivasha was attended by different high profile guests including Kitui Deputy Governor, Dr. Wathe and officers from the County Ministry of ICT.
The county government has embraced the use of technology in different areas to spur economic growth in the next five years of her government.
