Speaking to journalists at her office on Saturday, the former Lands Cabinet Secretary said that losing the petition was a blow to the vocal Wiper politician.

She told Wavinya Ndeti to continue pushing for justice and engage fully in active politics.

"I feel disappointed because my sister Wavinya Ndeti's petition against governor Mutua's re-election was dismissed by the court, but I tell her to stand her ground and continue pushing for justice," she said.

Ngilu said that the former Kathiani MP has the heart of serving Machakos people urging her to continue engaging with her followers and locals.

The Kitui boss said that it will take concerted efforts to end the culture of election theft and manipulation of election results.

Wavinya's petition was dismissed by Machakos High court judge Aggrey Muchelule on grounds that it lacked merit.

While upholding the re-election of governor Mutua, the judge ruled that Ndeti failed to produce evidence linking the Maendeleo Chap Chap governor to election malpractices in last year's polls.

The judge ruled that Mutua was the duly elected governor and that the results announced by IEBC reflected the will of the Machakos people.

The court slapped Wavinya Ndeti with Sh10 million fine to pay for costs in the petition.

Wavinya Ndeti has vowed to appeal the court ruling, urging Kenyans to stand up against election theft.
