Eight Kitui County Executive Committee (CEC) nominees on Tuesday took oath of office.  

According to a local daily, the team is now in a position to start delivering on its mandate following the swearing-in ceremony that went down at Kefri. 

The inauguration of the ministers was presided over by Kitui Resident Magistrate Rose Ombata. The meeting was also attended by the governor Charity Kaluki Ngilu and all the Members of the County Assembly.

The county assembly speaker George Ndotto also attended the ceremony.  In her speech, the county boss asked the ministers to deliver on their mandate diligently and without any form of fear or favor as she seeks to transform the county into a better place.  

The CECs who assumed office included Eng. Jacob Mbukua Ngina (Health and Sanitation), Emmanuel Malii Kisangau (Water, Agriculture, and Livestock Development), Philip Mumo (Trade and Cooperative), and David Musyoki Kivoto (Education, ICT and Youth Development).

 The others are Mary Ndunge Nguli (County Treasury),  Patrick Koki Musau (Tourism, Sports, and Culture), and John Muneeni Makau (Environment and Natural Resources).
