Ngilu on Saturday speaking in Kitui town said Malombe should accept and move on because endless court cases are likely to derail development in the region.

“I don’t want to give excuses to my people that I have been attending court cases. I want to have enough time to offer quality service delivery. I am urging Malombe to recognize me as the current area governor and drop an appeal he filed after the court upheld my August 8, 2017, victory,” said Ngilu.

She said the people of Kitui spoke in one voice because she received votes more than Malombe.

"Malombe was in position 3 in the last year’s gubernatorial race. I am worried why he is not accepting the court verdict that upheld my win. The appeal he made is targeting to frustrate my development agenda to the people of Kitui,” she noted.

She called on residents to support her efforts to develop the county and avoid Malombe who only interested to impose himself on the people who have already spoken.
