Speaking on Sunday in Nakuru Town, Ngunjiri said that he has very concrete evidence together with details of how the prison officers are engaging themselves with the terror groups to recruit the inmates who are mostly youths.

"There is a prison which is located in Nairobi which has been recruiting our young youths to join the militia and terror groups. Most of the youths are recruited while still behind bars," Ngunjiri said.

The MP said that he was soon going to table the whole report to the Security Committee in Parliament.

"I hope the committee will take actions on all those who will be found involved in the activity. I also urge all the security agents in our country to take all the information given to them and act. Most of the time we are told that information was given but the officers failed to take action leading to attacks which could have been prevented," Ngunjiri said.

He urged the people to be vigilant and to ensure that they help the security officers in ensuring there is security in the areas around them.
