Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has blamed courts for increased crime in Bahati. Ngunjiri said courts are lenient to offenders.

The legislator said  bhang smokers are roaming free in the area which has led to increased crime yet such law breakers are always released after being arrested.

"If courts worked in tandem with the police and local administration, crimes would drastically reduce in Bahati,"  Ngunjiri said.

He was speaking in Engoshura village, Bahati where he attended a burial of a man who died after consuming illicit liquor.
