Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has called on communities living in Nakuru to continue embracing each other even after the repeat of the Presidential elections on October 26.

Speaking on Wednesday, Ngunjiri said the ruling of the Supreme Court that nullified the August 8 presidential results has caused tension.

He called on residents to turn up in large numbers and vote again.

“When the Supreme Court annulled the August 8 presidential results, there was a lot of tension in the country but we want to thank God that with the new development from Supreme Court then the elections will go on Thursday. I urge my people now to wake very early and vote,” he said.

He applauded communities living in Nakuru for promising to support President Uhuru Kenyatta's reelection.

“We pray for peace and those trying to say that some parts will have no elections are lying to themselves since it is a democratic right. I am therefore calling on the Kikuyu and Kalenjin communities in Nakuru County to ensure we accommodate other tribes,” said Ngunjiri.

The vocal MP who has been on the fore front in campaigning for President Uhuru Kenyattasaid he is confident that Jubilee get higher number of votes.

“We have mobilized enough for our President after meeting various groups among them religious leaders, mama mboga as well as bodaboda and matatu operators and I am confident victory shall come,” he said
