Among the groups that benefited are those at Kiamaina Ward receiving Sh1.5 million, Kabatini Sh505,000 million, Bahati Sh1.1 million and Dondori Sh1.05 million.

Ngunjiri urged the groups which received the money to invest wisely since the money can help them transform their lives if utilised well.

He at the same time encouraged women and youths to continue joining developments groups since there is still more money in the bank.

He said that the constituency still has between Sh2-5 million for each of the five wards in the constituency awaiting for beneficiaries.

Last week, Ngunjiri disbursed Sh6 million more for table-banking groups raised recently by the Deputy President, William Ruto.

He noted that fundraising for women and youth groups in his constituency will be an annual event to give them financial independence.

“No individual should come to me during the general election asking for financial handouts. My money will only go to organised groups and it should be between now and campaign time. There is a lot of government money for groups, which is benefiting millions of people.” said Ngunjiri.
