Bahati MP Onesmus Kimani Ngunjiri has hit out at the local administrators for what he termed as failure to fully play their part in the fight against illicit brew.
Addressing the media on Sunday at the Bahati Police station following an incident where police netted several litres of illicit brew(Ethanol) at Maili Sita area of Bahati, Ngujiri said it area chiefs and OCPD should be answerable.
The legislator called on the local administrators to up their game in the fight against illicit brew.
"I want to thank the OCS David Rono for the good work he has continued to do together with the assistance from the public. But I would like to call upon the area OCPD, Chiefs and the DOs in this area to up their game in order to end this menace of illicit brew,"he said.
Nakuru County Police Comander Hassan Barua said two people had been arrested.
"We managed to arrest two suspects who will spend in custody till Monday to be arraigned in court.We are also still pursuing the owner of the house where the illicit brew was found,"said Barua.
