Speaking Thursday at Njata FM, Ngunjiri said the disruption of the president's address was shameful and uncalled for.

"That was childish. There is the president as a person and the presidency. Even if you don't respect the person, respect the institution, " Ngunjiri said.

A section of opposition MPs disrupted the State of the Nation address by blowing whistles.

House speaker Justin Muturi ordered the MPs be ejected out.
