Bahati Member of Parliament Kimani Ngujiri has faulted the elections of Interim Jubilee Leadership in Nakuru, claiming the exercise was full of malpractices and might affect re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Ngunjiri said he had written to Jubilee National Secretariat to resolve the matter before it escalates adding that the wrangles portrays the President's party in a wrong manner.

“The Jubilee elections in Nakuru were full of inconsistencies and the issue might affect the President's re-election chances. The matter should be solved urgently," he said.

"We are mixing 2017 interest with those of 2022 and this could be detrimental. Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has remained silent over the issue and I really want him to come our clear on the matter," he added.

He urged allies of the Deputy President William Ruto to desist from fighting members of KANU, adding that the independence party had already thrown its support behind Kenyatta's 2017 re-election.
