Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has hit out at a section of politicians engaging in 2022 politics.
Addressing media in Nakuru on Tuesday, Ngunjiri said elected leaders should first focus on the Big Four agenda.
“There are individuals going around blaming the President others his deputy. I want to tell such individuals to keep off. This is not time for 2022 politics, let us focus on development and when the time comes we shall have politics,” he said.
The vocal legislator also took issues with a section of MPs from Murang’a county whom he claimed are calling themselves Mt Kenya representatives.
Ngunjiri said President Uhuru Kenyatta is the defacto Mt Kenya spokesperson.
“I want to warn those leaders from Murang’a county who are now going around with Peter Kenneth as the 2022 deputy, let them keep off, we know only one person as our spokesperson in Central and that is President Uhuru Kenyatta,” he said.
The MP also claimed opposition leader Raila Odinga is blackmailing DP Ruto.
“I would like to call on former Prime Minister to also stop speaking badly about Deputy President because what we need is peace and prosperity as in the spirit of handshake,” said Ngunjiri.
