Thanksgiving prayers slated to be held at Afraha Stadium on Saturday will strengthen the government and unite the country, Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has said.
Speaking on Tuesday at his constituency’s office, the MP said that the prayers are intended to give thanks for termination of ICC cases against Deputy President William Ruto and Joshua Sang.
He also said that the prayer rally will be seeking victory for jubilee government which took leadership at a time when the country was dogged by many problems.
“We have been working together with the organizers and this prayer rally is meant to give thanks for everything God has done for us and also give us strength as leaders and as a country to live in peace and tolerate one another,” said Ngunjiri.
He also bashed a section of politicians from opposition who previously criticized prayer rallies held in different parts of the country.
He told them that termination of the ICC cases was a testimony that prayers they held were answered.
“There are those who thought that the prayers we held were not important but I will tell them that God is real and does the unthinkable,” he said.
They will not allow any politicking during the prayer rally.
