Police in Nakuru will arrest an MP over alleged hate speech remarks.
Bahati MP Onesmus Kimani Ngunjiri allegedly made the comments on Saturday in Nakuru Town after CORD leader Raila Odinga visited the town to seek support for the ongoing IEBC protests.
" They will not destroy our businesses and property and we let them get away with it. They will move out. They must go," he stated.
Police, said that they will arrest Ngunjiri today.
"He will be taken in for questioning on Monday. If he does not come, we will be forced to pick him up," Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinet said on his twitter handle.
He said that hate speech is unacceptable.
" It is unacceptable to divide Kenyans along tribal lines and we will not allow it to take place," he added.
Raila and the CORD Coalition are continuing with anti-IEBC protests across the country with the aim of bringing change to the electoral body.
