Ngunyi on Thursday said PAC placed a demand of Sh 7.5 million during investigations into the NYS billions theft.

He tweeted: “PAC is a fellowship of thugs, a demand of Sh7.5 million was made from me. I refused. Now they want me charged with perjury.”

NYS lost an estimated Sh 1.8 billion through dubious procurement deals.

The political analyst was contributing to a trending Twitter topic #PACApologiseToKenyans.

A section of Kenyans on Twitter have expressed their dissatisfaction with the PAC report that was presented last week.

According to PAC, a firm owned by Ngunyi irregularly reaped Sh 90 million from NYS.

PAC said: “The Consulting House chief executive officer Mutahi Ngunyi is culpable for plagiarism, perjury and willful withholding information from the committee. He is directly liable for failure to make full disclosure that he had been paid in excess of Sh100 million for other unspecified services from NYS”.

The committee is chaired by Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo.
