Police detectives in Nairobi have recovered Kshs 86 million in fake US dollar bills after a raid on a house belonging to a Nigerian businessman.

The man was on Thursday taken into custody as police look for his accomplices.

The Nigerian national was said be printing the fake currency and some of it may already be in circulation in the economy.

Elsewhere in Murang'a a man was arrested with Kshs 5 million in fake notes.

It is alleged that he was supplying the money to unsuspecting politicians.
