Operations along the Mosocho-Nyakoe road were badly affected on Tuesday after area locals decided to barricade the roads over insecurity cases.
This came after three people were seriously injured, when armed robbers attacked them, escaping with their valuables.
The residents demonstrated and headed to the District Office, who was not in office at the time.
That is when they decided to barricade the relatively busy road, setting ablaze tires and other materials.
The county commissioner and the area OCPD and police rushed to the scene to quell the charged crowd and promised to look into their issue.
The said attackers undressed one of the victims, who is now recuperating in the hospital, before proceeding to the next victim.
At the victim’s home, the attackers broke into the house and injured him, leaving with property on unknown value.
They are then said to have headed to the third victim, where they broke into his shop and stole, leaving him with serious injuries.
The locals are now counting on the police to come to their rescue, after the promises made to them by the county administration.
