The Outering Road in Nairobi has come to haunt road users at the expense of hawkers trying to make a business from the traffic.
The road has now been taken over by unmindful individuals selling goods at every corner and turn.
Its roundabouts and bus stops now serve as shopping stalls, something that continues to endanger the lives of motorists and pedestrians.
These sections are also serving as ample grounds for mugging, drug peddling and pick pocketing.
But the blame should lie squarely on national and county authorities.
The two levels of government must now move in swiftly through the Kenya Highways Authority (Kenha) and Governor Mike Sonko's team to redeem this important road.
