[Photo/Kenya-Today]As the 2017 elections presidential campaigns begin, political pundits have pointed out nine counties that the two leaders may not visit in their pursuit for votes. In the hypothesis on the nine counties by the pundits the historical longstanding political hostility between the Agikuyu and the Luo communities will be key on where the two leaders will visit.Apart from visiting Kisumu and Migori counties on State functions President Uhuru Kenyatta has never sought support from the region and neither visited Homa Bay and Siaya county. On his side former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has kept off the larger Mt Kenya region deciding only to campaign in Meru and Tharaka Nithi counties.reports have indicated that for fear of poor reception Raila has never campaigned in Kiambu, Murang'a, Kirinyaga, Nyeri, and Nyandarua.According to political pundit Professor Edward Kisiangani, the Luo and Agikuyu communities have been imprisoned by the negative sentiments from their leaders that have lasted more than a decade.“Raila and Uhuru have colonised their tribes, they will easily support their own. Raila does not expect votes in Mt Kenya region and Uhuru, on the other hand, does not expect any votes in Luo Nyanza,” said Kisiang'ani.
