Ting’ang’a Model Primary School in Kiambu Town Constituency will have a reason to smile after the area MPJude Njomo donated books for the school to boost education in the constituency.
The school had performed greatly in the previous Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and the donation of the books was just a token of appreciation for the hard work imputed by the school fraternity.
Njomo expressed his gratitude for the school which had a mean grade of 386 believed to be among the best in the county and the constituency saying it required persistence in academic to achieve and thus the donation of the books should help the school even aim higher in the upcoming exams.
“To perform highly it is because of the persistence and determination to work hard and to know exactly what you want to become in future,” said Njomo.
The donation included textbooks and writing books was given to the students which the MP believes it will boost their academics and excel more.
He raised concerns about increased number of school drop outs which, according to him, tarnishes future generation which will be in dire need of young stars in line with vision 2030.
The legislator however hailed the area MCA Mwaura Napoleon for the introduction of feeding programme in schools saying that it is an act of leadership to tame pupils to be attending classes.
“Mwaura has done a lot to help the Ward, this is an act of leadership for tomorrow since pupils are now attending classes in large numbers due to feeding programme,” acknowledged Njomo.
Njomo revealed that plans are underway in establishing more classrooms in the school to be able to accommodate more students to sip the juice of good education offered by the school.
The MP was speaking on Thursday at Ting’ang’a Model Primary School in Kiambu Town Constituency.
