Benson Njau Primary School in Ting’ang’a Village, Kiambu County will have a reason to smile after area MPJude Njomo donated revision books to boost education in the School.

The revision books which according to MP Njomo are meant to act as a booster to assist class eight candidates in their upcoming Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education.

Njomo who was speaking on Thursday in the School said that education in the county has been jeopardised by some malicious leaders saying that he will fight for education in his region to the very end.

The MP cited the previous demolition of Ndumberi Secondary School which saw more than 300 students left without classrooms saying that the act was very illegal.

Njomo expressed his concerns with the poor performance in Schools within the sub-county and advocated for parents to indulge their children in private tuitions and supporting them in academic endeavours by rewarding them for good performance to boost their morale.

He further awarded the best pupils and those who improved in the end term examinations in the institution with revised textbooks and exercise books to heighten their spirits in education.

“I call on county leaders to join hands in promoting education in various regions and distance themselves from leaders who are out to gain some political mileage for their own benefit,” said MP Njomo.

Njomo has however hailed parents who always encourage their children to learn insisting that Kenya in line with Vision 2030 will need educated youngsters to achieve the dreams of the nation.
