Kiambu Town MP Jude Njomo has rebuked Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga over his constant attack on Jubilee Party and President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Njomo criticised Raila for portraying newly formed Jubilee Party as a 'party of two tribes' and regarding Uhuru's administration as corrupt and not worthy another term.
The legislator backed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s trade of words with Cord leader Raila Odinga on Wednesday during the burial ceremony of former Cabinet Minister William Ole Ntimama.
"The President did absolutely well telling off the opposition leader that Jubilee is here to stay. I use the same words to tell him that his time is up. He should consider retirement now," said Njomo.
According to the MP, Raila used the platform to castigate the president instead of focusing on the agenda of the day which was to mourn with the family of the late former cabinet minister. Speaking at Gicoco Primary School, he also praised the MPs who recently ditched the opposition for Jubilee terming them nationalists meaning good for Kenya.
"Every Kenyan of goodwill has realised that Jubilee is a national party and is what caused more than 40 lawmakers to join us during our launch on Saturday. Time for ethnic parties is over," he added.
