Jude Njomo spoke on Monday at Ting’ang’a village. He said that he was working towards kicking jiggers infestation out of the the area and that he would not stop until all the residents affected would be in good hands.

He said that the jigger menace has a national issue plague that needs to be addressed, since many people are neglected in their homes by family members in the city and that the elderly were also greatly afflicted.

He condemned families who lived in the city and forgot their elderly parents, calling their actions inhuman. Njomo said that such people should come back home to take care of their relatives.

He added that he would call for the Ahadi Kenya anti-jigger campaign to visit the constituency and help kick jigger out the area that has spearheaded poverty.

Njomo lauded the Ahadi Kenya chairman Stanley Kamau for the job well done in other counties in helping Kenyans who were affected by the jiggers.

Njomo has called on the county government to revisit the issue and prioritize on it before the financial year. According to him, it was a shame for the county to be infested by jiggers when leaders were watching.

“Leaders in various counties and sub counties should check their areas to kick jiggers out of Kenya since it is an embarrassing scene as we watch our people suffering,” said Njomo.
