David Wachira Muriithi, a father of two, is calling on well wishers to help raise medical bill to have him treated for paralysis he developed in 2013.
Muriithi, who lives in Ngondu Village, needs Sh6 million for treatment.
He was diagnosed with a severe spine growth which also did break his t8 and t9 plates of the spinal cord.
He underwent a spinal cord operation and had it fixed with plates and 9 screws to align it after removing the growth in a 9-hours surgery.
“The situation worsened after the surgery as I became paralyzed from waist downwards” he said.
Wachira, who was the sole bread winner for the family, became immobile.
He left the burden of providing for the family to his wife Teresia Wangari.
He further developed another problem where he cannot fold his knees and waist.
They are stiff and rigid after a complication called paraplegia.
He now needs Sh6 million for treatment in India.
“He has to be assisted in everything from feeding, washing, and changing his diapers” Wangari said.
