Speaking to our reporter at the county assembly grounds on Monday, Kungu, who was reacting to a recent incident in the Ward where local youths demonstrated in Njoro town against him and the Nakuru Governor, said his enemies are inciting the youth to revolt against the county leadership.

The demonstrating youth had told the media that the town lacked public toilets and running water, a fact that had made life to local traders and members of the public unbearable.

They had accused the MCA for failing to express the needs and aspirations of the Ward at the county assembly, and the governor for adamantly failing to consider Njoro Sub-county in resource allocation.

The MCA, who was caught up in the mayhem escaped from the rowdy youths who pelted him with stones when he tried to address them.

He however believes that his political enemies, who want to frustrate his development record, organized the demonstration.

Kungu observed that the county assembly had allocated over Sh5million towards development projects in the Ward since 2013, yet the residents were only complaining about projects that were on going.

“This is purely the work of my enemies. I can assure you that there were no reasons whatever the case for the demonstrations. You cannot complain about something that is being made yet you forget about what has already been made,” said Kungu.
