Njoro MP Joseph Kiuna have urged youths in his constituency to unite and register groups to benefit from the youth funds.
Kiuna said Uwezo funds were allocated by the government in objective of youth empowerment.
He noted that various youth groups that have benefited from the fund and ventured into profitable business.
He said his office have sponsored various investment lessons to youth groups adding that financial institutions and insurance firms have been training youths on the best ways of investment.
Kiuna who was speaking in Njoro town urged youths to shun illicit brews and idle seating on trading centres adding that the error of waiting for handouts is long gone.
“I want you to help the government in eradicating illicit brews in the entire constituency. We want a sober society which will help to stir development in Njoro,” said Kiuna.
He said the government had achieved and delivered its pledge and also created a conducive environment for people to trade freely.
He urged youths to seize the opportunity and build their foundation after receiving capital to start various types of business.
Kiuna commended Nakuru county residents for remaining united and peaceful and also called on leaders to unite and deliver pledges instead of engaging in endless public spat.
He said politicians should be in the front line in promoting peaceful co- existence adding that wrangles have been creating rift among leaders and the electorate.
