Comedian and social media sensation Njugush has just celebrated his 27th birthday after announcing that he had added another year in an instagram post.
In an emotional post on instagram, the comedian revealed the hard times his wife went through such that she couldn’t even afford a cake for his birthday.
"Happy birthday to me…this one is quite emotional….turning 27 and mama theirs surprised me withthis cake…for me it took me way back, 6 years ago when she wanted to surprise me with a proper cake. Small problem though, she couldn’t afford one….so she went ahead and surprised me with a cupcake, she had borrowed money, 80 kshs to buy 2 cupcakes pesa yake iliishia hapo so hata candle haikukua, aliwasha mti ya kiberiti nkablow…” he wrote.
Njugush has been an inspiration to many in the comedy industry through his persistence and dedication that has translated to the fame and his popularity among many in the country.
Njugush thanked his wife Celestine and tried to add sarcasm to the thank you message.
"So when leo she surprised me na this proper cake you can see what happened to the napkins!!! Thanking God for all the blessings for the last 26, I’m forever humbled and great full to god…’ he wrote.
Njugush has a wide fan base and many of his fans are still hoping for his appearance after his starring role in The Real Househelps of Kawangware.
