Interior  Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery on Friday apologised to President Uhuru Kenyatta following the conduct of TNA Member of Parliament.

Nkaissery apologised to President Uhuru after Narok North MP Moitalel ole Kenta absconded a function that was presided over by the Head of State in his own constituency.

Kenyatta was in Narok for the homecoming party of the newly appointed GDC managing director Engineer Johnson ole Nchoe.

Nkaiserry said that it was a sign of disrespect by Kenta not to attend the function yet he was within the locality

“I am disappointed for your MP not to be in an event attended by the President and on behalf of the community I would like to apologise to the head of state for the behaviour demonstrated by the legislator,” Nkaisssery said.

In his defence, Kenta said that he had not been invited to the function and the president visited with

“The event was private and I could not force myself to a function meant for few people. How can the head of state visit my constituency without informing me and I am the only TNA MP elected in the county?" Kenta posed.
