As investigations begin into what caused the death of Interior CS Joseph Nkaiserry, Karen Hospital has ruled out any chances that the late CS suffered a heart attack.
According to a senior manager at the hospital, doctors who received Nkaissery have every reason to omit this as the cause.
As quoted by the Star, the manager said that by the time the late CS arrived at the facility, he was already dead.
He also dismissed as rumors the claims that Nkaissery drove himself to the hospital for medical check up.
"The doctors received the late at around 1am and he was already dead. Since our profession does not allow doctors to assume, they run all the emergency procedures amid efforts to resuscitate him but unfortunately he was already past that," the manager said.
The source also said that according to the doctors' assessments, Nkaissery did not have any signs of sickness.
Asked whether this was a case of poisoning, he said, "Doctors will not look foolish to say it was poisoning or heart attack only for postmortem to say otherwise".
"The doctors tried to interrogate his wife but she said the late arrived in the house at around 10pm. Had a little conversation and planned that they would leave the house at around 9am the following day for usual activities before they retired to bed at 11pm," he said.
The source also said that the CS was brought to the hospital by his wife, security and two other friends the wife said had been with the CS the entire day.
