The Interior CS, Joseph Nkaissery has issued a scathing attack on CORD.
This comes after Cord’s demonstration early this week at the Anniversary Towers.
Nkaissery said their recent move was just a revelation that they have already developed fever in losing next year's general elections. He further noted that there was no reason for Raila and his supporters to spill innocent blood just for a cause of personal benefits. He said their actions earlier this week were unacceptable.
The CS becomes the latest high-ranking government official to condemn the opposition for its ''Occupy IEBC Offices'' campaign.
Cord have for some time now been involved in a hostile relationship with Nkaissery, with the opposition claiming that the CS has been an active partisan in Kenyan politics contrary to the terms of his job.
Just five months ago, Cord threatened to make an impeachment motion against Nkaissery with the allegations that the CS made a statement that some individuals in the coalition were planning to destabilise the government, comments that Raila and his fellow party members strongly disputed as being baseless.
