Kikuyu Elders under the Rift Valley Council of Elders banner have called on Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaisserry to interdict lazy County Commissioners.
In a statement issued through the council spokesman Gilbert Kabage, the elders pointed out that most County Commissioners have failed to act on information given to them as far as illicit brews and a myriad of other issues are concerned.
“Nkaissery should cast his net wide and ensure that County Commissioners who fail the Government take responsibility of the same,” said Kabage.
He expressed optimism that County Commissioners and their juniors will make an effort to reciprocate the same.
He said that following security challenges witnessed in the country last year, it would only be wise for the administrators to ensure that they live up to the task of supporting the government in its development agenda.
