Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery has vowed to sue the two Kajiado ODM leaders for defamation.

Nkaissery faulted Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye and Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi for alleging that he had uttered statements in public threatening their lives.

"I will not handle this matter sitting down. The two leaders must substantiate their remarks in a court of law. I won't allow individuals damage my reputation for political gain," warned Nkaissery speaking in a political rally at Keekonyokie in Kajiado West, Wednesday.

Nkedianye and Memusi have claimed their lives are in danger and have recorded a statement with the Deputy County Directorate of Criminal Investigations officer Daniel Musangi, in Kajiado town.

The two ODM politicians allege a senior government official sent them a message that they might face “elimination” because they have become Jubilee’s “stumbling block”.

“We are here to say we cannot take those threats lightly. We want to know how and what elimination method the state will use to eliminate us in order to win seats in the upcoming elections," Memusi said as quoted by the Star.
