Interior Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery has been urged to arrest National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale over alleged hate speech remarks.

A section of lawmakers from Ukambani have called o Nkaisery to make the arrest after an audio clip went viral on social where a speaker was heard making hateful remarks.

It is alleged Duale was behind the clip

Led by Matunguu's Stephen Mutinda Mule and his Kangundo lawmaker Katatha Maweu, the lawmakers condemned the remarks stating that it was promoting hate speech.

The leaders who were speaking in Tala stated that the utterances targeting Kamba's in Garissa could lead to unnecessary tension.

Duale has since disowned the clip.
