Nkaissery stated that he will crack the whip on MPs who are spreading hate speech and encouraging hatred among ethnic groups.

A number of politicians have already been questioned by the police and the directorate of criminal investigations who have been accused of hate speech.

‘’ Most of the politicians who have issued those spiteful utterances have already been arrested. They will appear in court on Friday as investigations go on,’’ said Nkaissery.

The Cabinet Secretary made it clear that anybody who would incite Kenyans along the tribal lines in a bid to spread hatred would be dealt with by law.

This warning by Nkaissery comes after 8 legislators were arrested on Tuesday and were charged with incitement.
