Bandari FC coach Paul Nkata has criticised a referee for failing to award his side a penalty during his team's 1-0 loss to AFC Leopards in a match played at Mbaraki Sports Club on Saturday.
The only goal of the match was scored by substitute Marcellus Ingotsi deep into the stoppage time. However, Nkata believes that the centre referee contributed to his team's defeat for failing to award them a penalty in the first half."We played well, dictated the game from the first whistle and had chances that we did not take. In the first half, I felt we could have been awarded a penalty but the referee did not. It was a decent outing for us, only that we did not finish the game when we had opportunity to. I cannot blame my players for conceding late into the game, it sometimes happens though I must admit it is painful," the former Tusker, Muhoroni Youth coach said, as quoted by Goal.com.Following the loss, Bandari remained 8th on the log with 22 points after 16 outings. The team will next play Nakumatt FC in the GOTV Shield round of 16.
