Ahead of their mouth-watering Kenya Premier League duel with Ulinzi Stars at the Afraha Stadium on Saturday, Bandari FC coach Paul Nkata has warned his players not to take the 2017 KPL champions lightly.
Bandari who were pipped by AFC Leopards for the top spot in the league table standings have so far recorded two wins and a draw after playing three matches. However, they face a formidable Ulinzi side who are considered title favourites."The match against Ulinzi Stars will be tough given they are soldiers and therefore battle-hardened. However, like any other game, we will approach it like a final because the league is very competitive,” said Nkata who guided Tusker FC to be crowned KPL champions last season.Bandari boasts of a tight defense which has not shipped in a goal since the season begun. However, their solidity at the back will be tested when they take on the soldiers who are offensively ruthless.Of concern to Nkata is the availability of his talisman Enoch Agwanda and winger Edwin Lavatsa whose fitness for the match is closely monitored by the team's medical department.
