Speaking at Ndumberi grounds on Wednesday during the Madaraka Day celebrations, Nkoyo warned that politicians who perpetuate violence will not be tolerated in the county.

Nkoyo said that they are working with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to crack the whip on hate mongers.

“We want to make it clear that we are not going to tolerate politicians or any other person who perpetuates hate speech and violence,” warned Nkoyo.

He said that some politicians were using young people to spearhead violence, warning that police will remain alert and ruthlessly deal with any person inciting people.

The Kiambu Commissioner at the same time said that security in the county had improved greatly, attributing it to the massive sensitization campaigns on security matters.

“Security has greatly improved across Kiambu and we want to urge the public to cooperate with the law enforcement agencies as the streamline security,” he said.

Nkoyo also urged the locals to embrace Nyumba Kumi security initiative saying that it can help in the fight against crime and lawlessness.
