The National Land Commission (NLC) wills soon start investigations into land injustices across Nakuru County.

According to NLC member Samuel Tororei, Nakuru is among counties earmarked for land injustices investigation.

Speaking at Illchamus in Rongai Sub-county on Tuesday, the official said the commission is keen to address all matters pertaining to land.

“We are prepared to investigate and carryout audits of land matters across the country,” he said.

The official called on individuals and communities that are having land issues to present them to the commission.

Tororei further called on leaders in the county to provide support, saying that land issues are sensitive and needs proper investigations to commence soon.

He further said that the commission is being guided by integrity, transparency and accountability in its quest to address land matters.

Rongai, Kuresoi, Naivasha, Molo and Njoro sub-counties are said to have high cases of land conflicts.

County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has several times assured residents that the government is keen to address land injustices some which dates back to 1950s.
