Gatundu North MP Francis Njenga has told off Jubilee governors who have joined their counterparts in Cord to call for what they have dubbed ‘pesa mashinani’.
The legislators says that the governors are betraying the government to the opposition. He added that the same governors have failed the accountability test yet they are clamouring for more money.
“Those Jubilee governors calling for ‘pesa mashinani’ are selfish people out to satisfy their greed for wealth. They are not together with us since they joined Cord a long time ago. We have refused completely to be dragged in their confusion,” Njenga says.
The MP says that the government has disbursed enough money to the counties and has challenged the governors calling for a referendum to come out and show what they have done with the money so far.
“I, with my CDF money, have been able to build this school and that road across. Can the governors show us the developments they have brought to the counties since they took office before they can ask for more money?” posed Njenga.
The MP was speaking in his constituency when launching Uwezo Fund and various CDF projects.
