An inquest letter has been written to terminate a case which implicated a police constable who allegedly stabbed his wife to death
The officer allegedly shot himself on the forehead.
Anthony Angwenyi died instantly after he shot himself, a move which prompted the area OCS, L Laitanyi, to write an inquest letter closing the file as the investigation can no longer proceed since no evidence will be availed.
The offence against the deceased was committed in June last year, when Angenyi mysteriously killed his wife Hellen Angwenyi. He allegedly stabbed the wife severally on the stomach till she died.
The police were alerted by concerned members of the public after they found the wife’s body oozing blood.
The deceased officer went on exile to evade being arraigned in court and he was later found dead after he shot himself using his official gun.
Kisii Central OCPD, Tom Mutisya, has been critical of officers who misuse their official arsenal for illegal operations saying that such gross misconducts shall not be entertained.
