The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commision (IEBC) has called upon the nation to keep calm as it looks into allegations that Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s ID number was used to register on E Salome Wanjiru Njoroge, born in 1993.
This comes after the former President realized that his ID number also belongs to Njoroge when he went to verify his registration at Wagberi Primary School in Wajir East constituency.
"We are looking into the alleged mix up in regard to Hon Musyoka's registration. No cause for alarm," IEBC said via twitter on Wednesday, as quoted by the Star.
The Ukambani political Kingpin said that the revelation about his registration is a clear sign that Jubilee has plans to retain power through unconstitutional means.
"This [also] explains why the Registrar of Persons has retained office several years after attaining the retirement age," he said.
Bungoma Senator and Cord co-principal Moses Wetangula, who had accompanied Kalonzo to Wajir, said that it does not take a single day to rig elections.
"Rigging is a process and this is it," he said. Opposition leaders have insisted that they will not accept the outcome of the next general polls unless they are assured of fairness.
