The MP said that growing up he too had struggled to get an education, he said that he had been living under harsh conditions which had made it difficult for him to get school fees. He said that he knew the pain the children were going through.

Speaking after a marathon effort to raise the Education Trust fund money, the MP said that he would ensure all children go to school and that they were comfortable in the education.

He added that the money raised would ensure that the less privileged were supported fully, with others supported half way, giving space for more fund s to come on in.

He called on anyone who could afford to, to come forward and pledge to support the kids, or raise funds towards the children education. He said that there were several needy students from both the primary secondary and the tertiary levels.

“If God gave you riches please consider these struggling children out here and support their education. Anything that comes we shall accept no matter the amount as we need help,” Kimani said.

He said that the area did not have many investors compared to other constituencies like Thika town, but that were still going to strive to get as much they could to support the children’s education.

In the event, more than five people pledged their support towards the trust fund and the MP has called on the people to apply for the funds immediately.
