Kilifi Senator Stewart Madzayo stormed Magarini constituency pitching for his re-election during the August 8 general election.
Rallying residents to support his bid for a second term, the soft-spoken Senator said his first term in office has been a success and that it is his wish to continue fighting for the interests of residents in the Senate.He warned his opponents to brace for a humiliating defeat and vowed to give Jubilee candidate Kennedy Nyale a run for hi money during the August polls, arguing that his record speaks for itself.The 59-year-old Senator said he was confident of re-election, adding that he was “competing against himself in a race that is a one-man show”.Madzayo, a former industrial court Judge asked the residents to reject Nyale at the ballot, stating that “he is part of the Jubilee administration that is frustrating development in the county”.He further asked residents to turn out in large numbers on election day and vote for ODM candidates in all the six elective posts.Madzayo was in the company of Governor Amason Kingi and Kibarani MCA Gertrude Mbeyu who is the ODM candidate for the Kilifi Women Rep seat.
