Jubilee Party leader has warned that there will be no direct nominations for Jubilee aspirants.

President Uhuru Kenyatta said citizens should be allowed to decide on the leaders they want, and not to impose leaders on them.

He assured that his party upholds democracy and would ensure that people's choice carries the day on April 21 during the primaries.

''The nomination exercise will be free and fair. No one will be accorded a direct ticket because the people are the ones who will decide those to run on the party’s ticket in the August polls,” Kenyatta said.

Speaking in Kiambu county, Wednesday, Uhuru said: "No one seeking our party’s ticket, from MCA to president, will be given a direct ticket.''

He cited ODM, saying it denied people, democracy after it issued direct nomination certificates to its unopposed certificates.
