[Photo|Raila Odinga]NASA leadership has reiterated that it will not go to the October 17 presidential election, without changes at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).Presidential candidate Raila Odinga insisted that the Commission did a shoddy job in the August 8 general election, and so changes should be made to its staff, by existing a listed team, led by CEO Ezra Chiloba."The same commission that presided over the bungled elections now intends to conduct a fresh presidential poll without any amendments to or consideration of the serious shortcomings that led to the botched poll of August 8th," said Odinga."We wish to reiterate that we shall not be party to a shambolic exercise and call on the IEBC to speedily carry out the much needed reforms to ensure a level playing field for all stakeholders," added Odinga.He noted that one of the hallmarks of democracy was free, fair and credible elections, and that Kenyans had striven for and undertaken many reforms in the electoral system over the years."At times we have even had to exercise our constitutional right to protest and have picketted outside the electoral commission’s offices to agitate for our rights as citizens."Addressing residents of Kibra at the Kamukunji Grounds, Monday, the ODM party leader reassured Nasa supporters that they would never tire in quest for justice.
