[Photo|@citizentvkenya]The pre-trial conference of the presidential petition filed by the National Super Alliance (Nasa), kicked off Saturday at 7pm.Led by Chief Justice David Maraga, the seven-judge bench was present, whereby Maraga introduced himself to the court room, and recognised judge observers from across various regional and international courts.Lead lawyer representing the petitioner - Nasa, Senior Council James Orengo introduced his team, as directed by the Chief Justice.First respondent -IEBC, lawyer Paul Muite represented his team of lawyers, as well.The second respondent, the Jubilee Party lawyer Fred Ngatia also unveiled his legal team, ahead, of the entire hearing of the case.Maraga warned that there should be no emotions in the case, adding that "this is not a campaign rally."He also urged them to beware of the constitutional guidelines, of the petition, given that they had little time to provide ruling.
"Please note that we have insufficient time," said Maraga.The hearing of the petition continues Sunday August 27.
