This is despite earlier reports which suggested the candidate will be named after the Kilifi meeting.
According to political pundits, the failure to name a candidate will instead increase more tension in NASA.
Rumors of a fall out between the principals have been reported recently.
Speaking at Vipingo Ridge on behalf of the NASA principals, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka asked the coalition supporters to be patient and accord them more time since it was not an easy decision to make.
"Please be patient these things need keen and sober considerations," he said.
They, however, agreed on the dates affiliate parties will hold their primaries, but asked NASA insiders not to speak on the coalition's progress in public, as it could break the coalition.
