Omoding’ said corn men and cartels have gone ahead to invoke names of higher officers in the government that the Mavoko locals will be allocated part of the controversial East African Portland land in Athi River town.

He addressed the press at his office in Athi River town on Tuesday.

“Some people are spreading rumors that the government is processing title deeds to allocate part of the controversial EAPCC land in Athi River town to squatters soon, this is total lie,” said Omoding’.

Omoding’ said the public should be cautious not to buy the corn men’s cheap propaganda.

He said many unsuspecting citizens have lost their hard earned money to the land cartels who are well known for grabbing public land in the sub-county.

Omoding’ warned the cartels against grabbing and selling out public land to unsuspecting clients.

He said the new EAPCC managing director Simon Ole Nkeri should consolidate all pending cases on the land so that they be speedily expedised in court to end the stalemate.

“The new EAPCC managing director should consolidate all the cases so that we be able to expedise them in court,” said Omoding’.

Omoding’ said there are many court injunctions barring security agents from evicting the cartels from EAPCC land.

“We warn the cartels that they will be arrested,” said Omoding’.

He said all those who had been coned by the cartels should report the matter to police to allow for their arrest and prosecution.
